Default Using Optional + plugs on 5th gen fuse box.

Hi I just added power windows to my eg and now I am wiring them into a power source. I wired them so I have 2 +s (one for each reg), and 1 - for the two. I am using two inline 20 amp fuses on each +.

**I am reffering to the 5 spade connectors just above the top row of fuses**
I have looked at my Helms and it labels to first two (the optional plugs on the left) as C915 and C916 [Option BAT], which I interpret as direct off the battery, always having power. Middle one is labeled as C917 [Option (IG2)], which I guessed was ignition? The 4th from the left is labeled as C918 [Option (No. 19 fuse)]. I have no idea what that means. And the one all the way to the right is labeled as C919 [Option (ACC)], no idea what that means either.

Now when I got in there with my multimeter I found the first one on the left has power always 12v. The on just to the right of it never has power, dead. The middle one never has power, dead. The one 4th from the right never has power, dead. And the one all the way on the right has power when the key is in the ignition on position 3 I believe, 12 v.

Does anyone know why the middle ones are all dead? Is that normal? Should I wire one of my + wires on the far left one and the other on the far right one? I would really like some insight on what the prongs actually do, I thought they were all optional + power sources? Please help. TIA.

Jake

The 4th one that say No19 fuse, I would try putting a fuse in that spot and see what happens. It's worth a shot.

#19 is already occupied by a fuse and its for headlights/taillights. That was my guess to until I checked it.

back from the dead

from left to right
-battery (constant)
-battery (constant)
-ground
-lights on
-accessory

if I run oem foglight switches - I assume I need to run a relay. can I tee wires of a single relay to run to two different switches or do I need two separate relays

what about running power to a defi link unit - should I run an inline fuse?
