Using an A/M intake without vacuum line cause CEL?
Just bought a 97 dx coupe and the engine light is on but it has a ractive aftermarket intake but the black tubing that runs from the block to the intake has been removed, would this cause a cel?i am getting it scanned next week but am wondering?as well it kind of stumbles or hesitates when I put it in first gear and press the gas, I did change plugs and wires and it did get better but still remains?can anyone chime in?

Since a mod got butthurt...
Pull the CEL yourself before you risk ******* your motor up. Check the FAQ sticky if you don't know how. An aftermarket intake is quite possibly the #1 modification done to ANY Civic. Think about it for a second. No, it's not causing your CEL.

I'm not sure what kind of auto parts stores you have up there, but a lot of places here will pull a code for free, I would assume it's the same there?
