Default use p30 ecu with usdm b16a2 motor

My problem is im swapping my engine out of one of my cx's hatches. And was going to use a b16a2 jdm bottom block with a usdm head and wanted to use a p30 ecu with it. So i would not have to change the harness would there be any problem with it and if so what do i have to do to use it.

I've got the factory B16A3 in my Del Sol and I've been contimplated picking spare B16 motors, just in case I blow mine. I was told that all B16 motor's/parts were interchangeable with each other, I'm not sure about the B16B's though...

To pass California Smog, you'd need to use the USDM intake manifold.

It'll work. All are configured for B16 and same fuel maps just mainly different OBD's.

You will still need to wire up VTEC & Knock.

sort of off topic.... the B16B is actually a destroked 1.8L R motor. If you measure the deck height of the b16b is identical the b18c5. 7mm higher then the b16a

P30 does not look for a knock sensor when it is chipped
