Use car without drivers side lower engine mount?
I'm in the middle of changing the timing belt on my 97 LX and am also changing the air conditioning belt while I am at it. When I went to remove the driver's side lower engine mount I ran into the issue where both of the weldnuts inside the frame rail broke lose. I was able to remove the mount by drilling out the bolts but now have no way to reattach the mount since the nuts are no longer in place.
Has anyone ever just left the lower engine mount off and used the car without problems?

Is it the stock engine? R they stock mounts ? If u have good quality mounts u won't have an issue. Even with stock mounts I dont c it being an issue as long as all ur other mounts r in good shape.

Stock engine with stock mounts. To be honest all the rubber in the mount was broken so I'm not sure how much good it was doing to begin with.

You can use it especially on a stock motor always the others mounts are in good shape. But for peace of mind put it again when solder the nuts.
I run innovative 85a whit out the two torque mounts on my civic turbo.

Thanks for the replies guys. Ended up drilling all the way through the box to the top of the frame rail and using long bolts with nuts to hold the mount up for the extra piece of mind.
