USDM GSR or H22 jspec/usdm ???
Hi have a 94 civic vx hatch and am currently running a GSR motor. But I was wondering " in the quest for more power " how would a stock H22 run in quater mile/times in a hatch and one with full bolt-ons? And I also worried about the weight issue with these motors?I like the drag strip but I also like and want to do some autocrossing and road racing in the future. Will it affect my cornering and weight distrubution? Right now Im running totiko* gas shocks and skunk2 camber kit. And I was also wondering if there were any modifications to do when it comes time for the swap? OR SHOULD I JUST BOOST MY GSR and wait for something to blow. THX I JUST WANTED TO GET SOME OPINIONS

dumbest thing i've ever heard. low psi setup > H22 and it can be almost as reliable with a good tune. something MIGHTblow, **** happens, but with a good tune, it will last you quite a while. some people on theese forums have been at 12-15 psi for over two years, just adding 6psi to your gsr will be way better then a H22 and it will be reliable, but again, get it TUNED

It's not very smart to do something to a motor and then wait for something bad to happen. Do some searching you'll be happy you did...

you see, i can tell your a kid just by reading "with my driving style it would not last". what's the point of rebuilding a engine with all the goodies when your not going to take of it. mommy and daddy must support your habit.
there are tons of sites that show the prices of their products. grab a calculator and add it up. then call some shops up and ask for pricing.

All Motor>_________. Stick with the B18 and just build it up with the money you would spend on a H22. Boost is for Pussies.

You know I was just kidding about my driving style anyways aren't us kids make up almost nearly 80% of the import industry /consumer wise? And by the way I look at this sport as my hobby I love all cars period. But I do have two jobs and am supporting my own finances. I would just like to know the what if factor if my engine to blow, maybe a ball park figure but nvm it's just because the cars my daily driver. Thx for your help

OK I HAVE made my decision I stick with the GSR but I just recently took my hatch to the track (Spring Mountain Pahrump Race Track) on a open tack day. And let me tell u It was SOOOooo SICK racing with porsche's GT3's BMW even a NSX and I was keeping up with them when it was my first time @ the track w/some falcon ziex's. SO the track is a 2.2 mile course with 7 corners and I was wondering what would be faster on the track ALL MOTOR or BOOST and were talking about 5000 investment into motor and lets say I had a cage/ more suspension work & LSD?
I guess the only way to know is to try it out
