Upside down brake booster

Upside down brake booster
I know, I know, stupid. When I replaced my brake booster I accidentally put it in upside down. It didn't seem like an issue at the time I just rerouted the vacuum hose and everything bolted in just fine. Well now I have a pretty good vacuum leak going on. I can hear it and feel it in the brake pedal. Does having the brake booster upside cause this?
Another thing I think might be the problem is when I put the master cylinder on the booster I only put on 1 bushing but now I have 2 left over. Was I supposed to put those on also?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
