Upper control arm problems.

Upper control arm problems.
the upper control arm on both front wheels has some play to the sides. If i jack up the car i can move it by hand side to side. what caused this? my wheels have some camber even though I have 15 rims, 205-50-15. I have seen some adjustable on ebay, but they dont have bushings, do they fit like that? also I have seen some that are calle ingalls or something like that, what do you guys think?

Re: Upper control arm problems.
Realy sounds like you have badly worn Upper Control Arm bushings
I would try replacing those with OEM or Energy bushings and an alighnment first.
Replacing the worn bushings might fix your camber issue, if your car isn't lowered.

yes they look like the bushings are worn, even when I make turns they Squeak, but where can I find those? also are they easy to change? or do I need a press or something?

As for the bushings themself, I think it should be fairly easy(though I have never delt with these specific ones). If you don't have a press, you can burn them out or Push/Pull them out with whatever random tool does the job.
I would advise haveing a repair manuel around to take you step by step in removing the control.

For most all Energy Suspension bushings, you just burn the old ones out and press the new ones in by hand or using a vice. Use the supplied lube to make install easier. To do my trailing arm bushings, I made a press out of a piece of 3/4" all thread, two nuts, and two flanges. Any flat metal disk will work in the place of that, just has to be like a giant washer.
While replacing the upper bushings, check the ball joint also. It would be the perfect time to replace it if there's any play or the boot is ripped.
