Upper castle nuts won't come off
So I need to take off my hubs so I can take them to the machine shop & get new ball joints pressed in. On the passenger side the castle nut on the upper ball joint broke loose but after it broke loose it would just turn & turn & it's not going anywhere. The bolt is not spinning with it, either.
On the driver's side the castle nut won't even break loose, I've sprayed with PB blast, & catalyst, used a breaker bar, etc. It's starting to strip.
I did a search & this doesn't seem like a common problem, so if any of you can help out it'd be appreciated.

Use air and your problem will go away, I promise. If you can't appropriate some air tools, wedge something between the spinning nut and the surface and unscrew it that way. About breaking the other one loose...I mean, just grow some ***** or something. Lefty-loosey

I thought you said that bolt, broke loose ? Is the ball joint stud spinning with it ? If so pry on the upper arm with a huge screw driver while loosening it.
As for the stuck one, use a breaker bar.

Re: Upper castle nuts won't come off (Archidictus)
Well, I'd rather not grow any *****, considering I'm a woman. I'm on on my friend's username cause I don't have one yet. Thanks for the suggestions & quick responses.
I finally got the passenger side off with a puller tool, it fucked up the nut but I can get a new one.
The driver's side stripped when I used a breaker bar so now it's kinda fucked anyways. I'm thinkin I'm just gonna take off the upper control arm & get the ball joint pressed out, I should probably replace it anyways now that it's stripped. It's a tight spot, though.
Thanks.
Oh, & the gator grips wouldn't fit on the nut well cause it's a tight space, I had to use a wrench in the first place.
