So I'm out of town and am trying to get my wife to have the driver's side, upper ball joint replaced on my Canadian 1999 Civic SiR (Si in the US). She goes to the local Partsource and they sell her an "upper ball joint".

I thought that you cannot replace the upper balljoint in the civic upper control arms. Or is the SiR/Si different? If not, why do they sell this part? What in the world do I do with it???

Sorry, no time to search if this was posted previously. please help. Im out of town and need that ball joint / control arm replaced asap.

no the will sell you the whole thing not just the ball joint like the lower ball joint

they should all be the same...i think even the integra fits......or try honda dealership..

Yes, they ARE replaceable. Moog makes a replacement upper ball joint, amoung others.

Honda does not, you must buy the complete upper control arm.
