I picked up 93 Coupe with 190K on the clock for my son a couple weeks ago. The PO said the front bushings needed to be replaced and the tires are evidence that the alignment is bad. After looking at the book my guess is that the 2 upper arm bushings are most likely the worn ones. Helms says to press them out. My local Honda dealer doesn't list the bushings by themselves only with the whole assembly for $144 per side. Anybody know where I can order just the bushings and is my hunch correct that these are the main front bushings that would affect alignment?

i found a whole bushing set on ebay for like 80 bucks or something, that is front and lower, for both sides, maybe more i can't remember.

i was looking for LCA bushings, and my honda dealer said they sold them seperatly for about $50 per side

not exactly 100% sure but maybe try suspension.com ? i know they have a wide range of bushings and stuff... but again, im not sure if that's what youre looking for.. sorry if im incorrect.

Try getting your self a set of Energy Suspension bushings, they are polyurethane and will last much longer and give a much better feeling and better responce. You can find them at most aftermarket parts shops or any online shop.

I suggest getting the Hyperflex system which is a complete kit that replaces a lot of the bushings, if one area is bad the others probly aren't that grweat eigther. They can be had for about $100, you can try E-bay too.

Getting them installed is where most of the cost comes in to play. A good number of the old ones do have to be pressed out and a few of the new ones have to be pressed in but there are also a couple of them that you can just put in your self with a nice hammer...

I am actually planning on buying the hyper flex set for my car and I don't plan on using the upper control arm bushings because I already have them. I just need the front lower ones because I got new lower control arms. if you want just the upper A arm bushings let me know. I will give them to you for a very good price...

Thanks for the advice and offer Jon V. I have decided to go the salvage yard route. I picked up both upper arm assemblies and the lower left assembly this morning from cars with less than 100K. I'll have to find a lower right assembly. This car is basically going to be a college beater so we aren't too fussy about the handling. Now my 94 I'm a lot more fussy about and when I need to replace the bushings on it, I'll go the after market route. Thanks again for the advice.

no problem. I changed out all the bushings on my 99 hatch and WoW, I still felt an amazing improvement... and it was only 4 years old...

I just got some new LCA's so now I need to get new bushings for them to match the rest of my suspension...

THe energy suspension hyperflex kit is grade A. On ebay for around 100 bucks. took around 6 hours to get the entire front end done, still workin on the rear when i have time. It made a huge improvment and is wellw orth the time nad money. Great replacment for stock bushings. tightens up the steering alot as well.
