upgrading to better oem brakes on my eg
was up guys..I used the search to find out how to upgrade to better honda oem brakes for my 92 eg cx...well my master cylinder went out and I was thinking about might as well upgrading my proportioning valve to a 94-97 non abs integra (40\40) and my master cylinder to a 91 civic ex becuase its a direct bolt on... ok well I been all over town going from junkyards to junkyards and I can't possibly find any of them.. I miss driving my hatch lol so I was thinking why not just upgrading atleast my master cylinder and brake booster for now and im sure that will also give me better braking right?? well my question is can I use a mc and bb off any integra (94-97) on my civic eg..will it bolt right on without any pain in the *** and do I have to have to change any brake line fittings for the mc fittings??? am I going to need to bend any lines etc etc... please HT help me out..thanks..

90-01 Integra non-ABS master cylinder and boosters will work. The proportioning valve has to be from a 90-93 Integra or a Civic with rear disks. Unless you're doing a brake swap also, forget it. Some later EX models came with the 10.3" rotors, same as an Integra RS, LS, and GSR. SIs had larger brakes also.
Anyone that says otherwise, shut up, just yesterday I pulled knuckles from one car to swap onto mine. The brake part catalog at the store confirms it, as well as Honda. The knuckles are different between a Teg and Civic, but meh, who cares?
Put rear disks on also. Any 88-00 Civic or 90-01 Integra will work for a donor.
If you do the swap, I have a prop valve for sale. They sell for around $35, PM if interested, I have an extra.

ok so the mc and bb are direct bolt on right umm wat about the lines? do I have to do any custom set up for those to hook up with the integra mc? also if I use the proportioning valve off and 90-93 integra do I need to change the bracket for it? I think that's wat I read on some of the forums...not really sure wat they meant...

'90 - '93 prop valves are supposed to require changing the bracket. Its the black metal bracket that bolts to the prop valve and the firewall. the prop valve from a '94 - '97 non ABS Integra is a 100% direct bolt on, i've used them a couple of times. Do not try to use stuff from an ABS teg. The MC will require that you cut and flare lines, and ABS Integras don't have proporting valves.

I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but unless you are also upgrading your brakes at the same time you are going to end up with worse brakes than stock. running a 15/16MC on stock brakes just gives you a rock hard brake pedal. Running a 4040 prop valve is most likely going to cause your front brakes to wear quicker.

Re: upgrading to better oem brakes on my eg
do u mean the brake pads or the whole knuckle because I mention earlier that upgraded to integra front and rear brakes assembly a while bak but I just never did the mc and pro valve until now because my stock civic mc went out... I know a big brake kit would be better braking but its not necessary for my set up..im not making that much power for something like that I have eg hatch with full bolts on gsr and im sure that oem brakes would do me just fine..

94EG8-I've got a couple questions:
1. I'm doing a brakeline tuck and using the ABS 1" teg mc/bb on a delsol vtec. It uses the 7/8" mc/bb and rear disc, to do the full teg brake setup, do I NEED to use the front teg knuckles also?
2.What bout on the rears? Do I have to change out the rear setup as well?
