upgrade the pistons!?...
I have gsr motor going for a mild all motor build before i go sc, so far its i/h/e, chipped ecu, and a list of other mods on the way, I plan to upgrade the block with ITR pistons. What exact parts do I need with the ITR piston?, i know that it will raise my compression, but will it run on pump gas? or would i need to tune it to run on pump gas 91 oct? any thoughts?

wait you want to raise compresion when you want to boost later? its sound kind of stupid to me, and yes you will be able to run pump gas.

no..later down the line, ill be changing out the pistons of course to low comp..not stupid...i want to raise the compression for the mild build before i go boost. That doesnt mean i want to raise the compression and go turbo. But any way..what parts do i need exact for ITR pistons?

Well all you would need is...ITR pistons *gasp* and have them installed.
Once you do that, your compression ratio will raise a bit and it would be advisable to have it re-tuned to run accordingly and properly to the gas you will be using.

oh yah tune for sure to run pump gas, how much of a difference did your car run performance and efficiency wise with ITR pistons?

If you run the b18c1 block/head/crank and rods with USDM ITR(P73-A0) pistons you will be around - 11.0:1 compression ratio...while a stock GSR compression ratio is 10.0:1
If you run JDM ITR(P73-00) pistons, you will be at - 11.59(11.6):1
I dont have a gsr/ITR swap but if I had a gsr, I would probobly put in the JDM P73-00 pistons as the compression ratio is getting into the 'agressive' side and would yeild good results with a nice lumpy stage 3 cam and a great tune

what would be safe, high compression for a DD, i assume it doesnt matter, but depends on how well the tune is right?, stage 3 seems a bit aggressive with the throbbing idle. just want a decent reliable build, goals are to hit between 180-200whp for n/a, then later on, change pistons out for low comp and run boost.
