Updating my 95 Del Sol's stereo
Hello all,
I'm new to honda-tech.com and have a few questions about upgrading my 95 Del Sol stereo. I now have the factory intalled cassette/radio and want to upgrade to a CD/MP3 player/radio.
Security System
I am mainly concerned about keeping the factory security alarm sytem and for it not being fouled up. I bought it used and it did not come with a security remote, but a red light blinks on the radio and has alarm stickers on the windows. Did some of the 95 Del Sol's come with an alarm intsalled? Will putting in a new stereo mess up my alarm system? Can I get a replacement remote somewhere? Any links to install guides besides this site?

New Unit
I know I have a DIN style fitting but according to Crutchfield.com not all DIN style units will fit my Sol. Do you have any recommendations for a CD/MP3 radio unit for under $150? I don't need any other specail features. Is honda factory units made by Alpine? I can't afford Alpine at this time is thier another cheaper alternative.
Thanks for any advice in advance,
Jay

Units that have motorized faces will have issues clearning the shifter and the pop-up blocker thing. Look into Pioneer units. My friend has never had a problem with them, though their older MP3 units were slower than my Alpine.
