Updated my interior (EG), lost weight and added JDM goodness. pics.
I just finished some stuff with my EG.
Added SiR gauge cluster
Added SiR clock, climate control, and defroster switch (for amber lighting)
Installed ITR shift boot
I then took off the stock steering wheel and installed a MOMO wheels...
removed all airbag wiring...
Unplugged the 2 plugs at the fuse box and took out the entire airbag harness.
then I pulled out the airbag sensor/ecu and the pass. airbag.
i removed the airbag from the dash panel and bolted back in the dash panel without the airbag.
Then I removed the AC Evaporator from my climate control system by removing the glove box, the metal glove box support bracket, then maybe 7 bolts to take out the evaporator housing (the big black plastic box to the left of the blower motor. I opened up the housing and removed the evaporator and then put the housing back together and reinstalled. To take out the evaporator housing you also have to unplug the little harness in front of it from like 5-6 plugs and let it hang low.
The difference in weight from my stock steering wheel, airbags, wiring, airbag ECU compared to the momo steering wheel with hub adapter was 14lb difference. was hoping for more.
the weight of the AC evaporator was 6lb. its all aluminum so not very heavy. so for those of you wondering if its worth the work to finish off your AC uninstallation by removed the **** under the dash... depends on if you care about 6lb. I personally dont care about just 6lb... however I am the type of person that cant sleep at night knowing the thing is in there just sitting there for no good reason. The job only takes like 30 min tops so its actually not hard at all.
For those of you wondering, the climate control system remains 100% functional, just minus the AC obviously. THis is because I put the evaporator housing back under the dash so the air still had all its pathways to follow. so all my vents still work and of course the heat still works.
NEXT after all that my search was on to find a store that was open 24 hours to find a quality head unit with amber lights!!! yea right... i found something close tho as you will see in the pics... I got a sony one that does 7 different colors and one of them is a red that is a SATISFACTORY match, but not perfect. The pics below actually make it look like a closer match then it really is.
NOW I just need a good deal on a GENUINE ITR shift **** to complete the interior for now. I have sparco seats that I will install after i finish the motor swap cause I dont want to screw them up while working on the car.
Next post is some pics of after it was all done.

NOTE: If you havent all noticed yet... the SIR cluster is very dim... the pictures dont even pic it up with no flash and the lights on. I am going to be tryin to find a higher wattage bulb to replace these ones with in attempt to get more brightness out of it. I thought at first maybe it was a prob with my cluster, but then I asked on here and several reported the same problem. In person you can actually see it, but its still super dim.

Re: (mister2racer)
i dont have an Sir cluster but, did you bypass the pot that controls the dimmer? because on JDM clusters there are no dimmers so if you do that maybe itll be brighter.

I pulled the cluster back out and ran straight 12v power to the lighting circuit and it has the same brightness still... so it has nothing to do with the dimmer... this is just how this cluster is. I will learn to live with it or maybe try and find slightly higher wattage bulbs and pray they dont fry the printed circuit...

the cluster is dim by nature I think, at least mine is. It is nothing to worry about, you get used to it real fast.
Where did you pick up the clock and climate control though?

I have the SiR cluster and it was dim at first, then I took it back out and realized that more than half the bulbs were blown. I replaced all the bulbs and it's not dim at night anymore. It's defintely not as bright as the US cluster but it's alot better than what it was. I wanted everything to match the same color so I put in a 99-00 civic si Cd player. To make that work you have to buy 2 aftermarket wiring harnesses. one 92-95 harness and one 96-00 harness and the 99-00 radio will work in a 92-95.

Re: Updated my interior (T-RexAZ)
if you want a cd player to match just get an OEM civic si or OEM itr cd player. I have the SiR cluster and OEM itr cd player. Matchs perfectly just need clock and real amber climate control not a DIY that i have right now.

i would agree with this, but also agree with factory radio's, the sound
is dogshit. not even comparable with the sony he has(as far as sound)
but oem radio's do look good

Re: Updated my interior (rathead)
Wow, you cluster is extremly dim. When I bought mine, from Osaka - every buld was burnt out, so I replaced them all with my stock cluster. It appears to be brighter than anyone elses. Also, you can increase the dimmer by adding a part. I totaly lost what part it was, something you can get at radio shack. Could someone help me out, I feel stupid...
