Unorthodox pulley question...
Ok I bought a unorthodox crank pullet for my d16z6, I don't have a/c or p/s, damn turbo, but I just got it in the mail today and now my question is can I use a stock oem belt for this or will the belt size change? I'm asking this because it says on the box that "sometimes" the belt size changes.
It says to get a "Gates Brands belts" and I have a part number of K040285
Ok I went to the Gates website but now where am I supposed to get it? I cant order it from the website, they don't sell products throught there.
What i'm saying is it doesn't make any sense to me that the belt size would change, why would it? I thought the pulley only eliminates a/c and p/s, what does it have to do with belt size?
I'm kinda stuck here so please help out with good responses, thanks

belt size would change if its an UNDER-drive pulley. an underdrive pulley is smaller in size therefore there is less rotational mass on the crank allowing the motor to rev faster. IF YOU ARE GOING FOR HIGH HORSEPOWER NUMBERS, DO NOT USE IT. IT IS NOT BALLANCED AND WILL MOST LIKELY CAUSE YOUR OIL PUMP TO BREAK!!!!!!
