Unknown Noise.
Sup, H-T!
I'll keep it short, I have a 97 Hatch, CX model all stock. 5 speed.
The problem:
So, on hard braking, I'll hear 1 single "clunk" sound. No scraping or howling or vibrating, just a single CLUNK.
Only does it on hard braking. Gets louder if I do really hard braking.
New parts up front are:
1. Upper control arms / Upper ball joints
2. Lower ball joints
3. Inner and outer tie rods
Could worn rack bushings cause this? Only "old" stuff is lower control arms and it's related bushings but they are still 7/10 condition and rack bushings aren't new but they seem okay.
Other mentions: I get occasional noises when turning the wheel. Sounds like things shifting, hard to explain.
Any ideas, H-T? I've searched around and not many people have a "clunk" sound. just scraping noises and such.

Re: Unknown Noise.
Update: I suspect the struts could be bottoming out. They show no signs of wear, are all equal height still and drive normally but have not personally inspected them. Will report back while waiting for suggestions from this thread as well.
