uninstall of vafc
i have a 00 civic ex.. removing vafc unit...my question is can i just cut the harness off where the splices were made and splice those wires together (example pink and purple to connect vtec solenoid)

short answer yes you can. But dont do it. Desolder (if they are soldered) the wires then join the original ecu wiring back together. Solder all wires and insulate with electrical tape. Your car will thank you :-)

When i did it i just cut the vafc harness close to the place where i soidered them together and made sure to re-soider you stock harness making sure to wrap it in electrical tape or something of that nature. Its not too hard just kinda shitty now that i had to cut those wires

yeah the only problem is i didnt install it... and now i dont have enough wiring to reach the stock back together.... would i be better connecting the vafc harness wires together or splicing in the same gauge wiring from stock to connect wires and of course soldier and insulate
