Uneven suspension!?!?!?
I just put on kyb agx shocks on the front of my car, the two sides are uneven. One side has a one finger gap, and the other side has a two finger gap. Does anyone know why this is happening. I have skunk2 coilovers on it and both sleeves are on the same thread... Anyone know anything bout suspension cause I'm lost?!?!?

Re: Uneven suspension!?!?!? (teknik_civic)
fenderwell gaps aren't an exact way of measuring the ride height of your car.like said above, make sure all the springs and perches are properly seated.getting your car even most likely won't result in the perches being at the exact same point side to side.
a misaligned fender or many other factors can make it look like the car is uneven, although it may not be.try using the jacking points or some other more integral part of the chassis to measure from-the ideal thing would be to get it corner-weighted.

True
A more precise way to measure would be from your jacking points.

Has the car ever been wrecked. I have a bit of frame damage on my car and have the same issue with fender gaps. My car was hit in the front passenger side, twisting the frame slightly. Its not enough to affect alignment, or anything. The car drives straight. I just dont worry about it and go on with my car as its boasting 225k miles. It gets me around, no uneven tire wear or anything. Whatever.....
Just an idea.

Re: (92BlueCivic)
my car is like this too, i have no idea why. im 99% sure the springs were installed right.
i figured it might be from the driver side settling more than the passanger side (dont have passangers very often)

both my civics are like that....
my drivers side is usually 1/4" to a 1/2" lower, with brand new springs and 2 year old springs (both h&r race)
i think its just how it is....i dunno

I've heard of it being this way on many different cars. The drivers side is lower than the passenger side. Mine is even though on both sides so....

This is usually caused by previous front-end damage.
Although my 94 CX had never been in an accident and i noticed when i installed my coilovers that it was about 1/8" out. So maybe its just a honda thing?
