Default uneven rev'ing while idleing

hey all
hopefully someone could tell me what this problem is, save me a bit of time.

when i start my 95 civic (99lx d16y7 w/ new refurbished auto tranny) my car starts reving from 1.5-2.5 rpms constantly with the choke on... it is less once the car warms up when in idle usually 1-1.5 rpm.

i can live with it reving in idle but the other day it was doing it while i was at a light and i thouht this could lead to problems...

(two newest things on my car are headers and the auto tranny) the o2 sensor was only 4-6 mo old when i put headers on few weeks ago.

first thought is that its a efi sensor possibly exhaust.
if anyone knows id appreciate the insight greatly
thank you.

all the vacuum lines hooked up???

if so, then it could be a sensor

yeah, ive checked the vacum hoses, and all the electrical connections that could have been left undone.

nothin... im curious what sensor would do that... throttle body or maybe choke?
or could it possibly be bad ground or something?

sounds like it's your throttle position sensor that's on top of the throttle body

i went out and checked the connection on the position sensor (on the firwall side of throttlebody) and i replaced this throttle body (although with a used) a year ago. the old one was cracked (and exposed completly) but i never had this problem with it.
anyways i took off the connection and the engine raced up to 4-5 rpm. and didnt jump up and down. although i doubt i can drive this way.
if anyone thinks it could be another sensor please let me know, as you have to replace the entire throttle body for the throttle body position sensor.
thanks again (:

Possibly the TPS throttle position sensor, but it may also be an 02 sensor is going bad.
