ummm japenses transmisson ok?

Default ummm japenses transmisson ok?

uhh i went to a jdm motor importer and i found a b16a hydro for cheap *** hell, will it work? on my jdm b16a block (i know it fits) but will a usdm spec b seires shift linkage hook up to it?

and in japan isnt first gear on the oppisite side where 5th is supposed to be?

UHHHHHHHHH No. And yes its bolts right up. It might also come with a oem LSD

Stating what year car your going to be using this tranmission would help also.

NO! That is completely and totally false. jdm transmissions and usdm transmissions are exactly the same save for gear ratios on some models

nah its just i hate transmissons, i can build motors pretty easily, i got my b16a bottom end half way done actually prettty easy never paid attention when trannys came into play in school, well we rebuilt a 80's iroc camaro, and a m22 rockcrusher but honda stuff was only pistons and heads etc, my friends and i (advanced class and teacher assistants) got boered one day ripped apart 2 d-series motors made 1 sick *** one out of it and threw it in my friends stock crx, it was a d16z6, with p29 pistons in it it was prety funny and qwick as hell lol

one was a integra engine, and 1 was a civic engine


d16z6 and a d16a1

at first we wanted to do a p29 pistons, p28 crank, and dohc head and change the d to a b and cover the 1 with honda bond and sell it lol with the car haha

The only tranny I've ever seen setup something like that are the ZF trannies in Maserati Bitrubo's see below
R-2-4
-N-
1-3-5

Everything else always had 1st gear at the top left. Reverse was either far right like Hondas, or down then far over left like VW's

arent you the same guy who said he was working for honda? for like 4 to 5 years or something? i mean it could have been someone else.

oh well to the subject at hand. i never knew that and the whole time i've been shifting regular with a jdm motor

is 300 good for a jdm hydro transmisson? milage unknown, looks kinda grody like its been sittin for awhile, also whats a good deal on a jdm head

Where are you getting this transmission from?

*calls bank to see if I can buy it*

I'm not trying to steal you buy, just curious were your getting it from.

A good price on a DOHC VTEC head depends on condition and completeness. I got a complete OBD2 GSR top end for around $450. It came with absolutely everything though. I didn't think that was too bad considering I see them for sale all the time for about $600.

if u live in california, on the 91, there is this goroddy *** building that says USED JAPANESE MOTORS on the side, there really cheap, the guy said they get thousands of engines weekly

but maybe i should wait for the next b16 trans to pop up

kinda off subject but i would like to hear more about that z6 with the a1 pistons im trying to do that same setup within the next 2 weeks i just bought the pistons and rods last night and have full z6 with spun bearings and i also have y8 block with spun bearing
and another good y8 crankshaft
i was trying to figure out the best way to build this motor without spending over $250
shootin for 12:1:1 compression

tranny n' linkage should be good to go...

as far as the gears, rofl shifting gears are the same...

we kinda threw it togehter, 4 guyz can build a motor pretty easily, i honed the block, friend cleaned the pistons and rods, teacher put in bearings, it was a pretty straight foward set-up, as far as what crank is best i dunno we used a stock z6 crank, i belive? hmm i dunno have to ask my friend he was crank work, teacher put oil pn and pump all that bottom end bs, head was untouched
