Default Uh oh noise...

On the way home from work today i noticed if i hit the throttle in my EG it would make an odd deep clicking noise coming from the engine compartment. Sounds a lot like my friends tranny mount problem in his camaro. Seems to make the clicking sound in mediocre acceleration, and slowing down to a stop.

What is this sound... Help...

relax man, not everyone on here is to help, the majority on here are only here to boost post #'s.

but back to your question. i would have to guess motor mounts, check the one behind the engine, underneath the fire wall.

also, i have seen and heard broken axles do this, double check your axles. though the boot may look good, doesn't mean the cv joint isn't bad.

If its only when the car is in motion its prolly something to do with your drivetrain or axles.

Yeah i can feel it, and its getting louder, no good. Taking it to a shop tomarrow morning to figure out why my little honda is unhappy.

I dont really think its the axles though because the drive axle, and both CV joints were replaced 20k miles ago.

UPDATE: For anyone that cares, the problem was the passenger side axle was binding. When honda replaced the CV boots, they didnt bother re-lubing the CV joint and it dried out.

Thanks for the help!

yeah we kind of knew it was the axle. that's cool, atleast you now know what it is and it's fixed.
