Uh Oh...Input Shaft Bearing?
So i took a visit to see my buddy Burke because my motor sounded like poo.
I hear a really low rumbling noise coming from transmission side of motor in neutral or even in gear. Here's the kicker. The noise is relatively nonexistant when you have the clutch engaged.
Burke says input shaft bearing is knockin around in there. Just wondering if anyone else has another opinion(cuz changing that bearing would be, well....you know). Or if someone has an experience with this.
Thanks!

yeah man, sounds like input shaft bearing to me. Short of taking the trans out and changing the bearing, you might check your fluid level. If it's low enough, a top up might help quiet it down, but it's probably still gonna make some noise.
