Ugh..I think I ruined my tranny..
Um..a friend and I have just pulled out my z6 for the first time...
We took off the head/tranny to put onto a new bottom end, so I decided to clean up the parts a little bit before I go ahead and put it onto the clean looking bottom end...I was using Grease Lightning and degreasers, cleaned the tranny up and then I applied water to rinse off all the nastyness....
I looked at the gear hole where it looks like it goes into the tranny, where the gears would be?
I noticed that tons of water was rushing in that hole...umm? Did I expletive up the tranny?
I pulled the tranny plug and drained it all out, but will it rust inside of there since water got in? or will it just dry out evenutally? Please help asap

Gear hole? What??
Transmissions have fluid in them... They should pretty much, aside from the one vent hole, on top, be sealed.
Yes, you need fluid inside it (NOT gear oil!)
Pic of the hole youre talking about please...
