ugent ac help needed. r12 to r134 which lines/compressor needed?
i have a 93 eg that originally came with an r12 ac setup. I got the car with the 2 ac lines disconnected at the shock tower. Now my question is which lines and compressor do I get to complete the rest of the ac system. Do I get the 94-95 r134a lines and compressor? or do I have to get an r12 compressor, r12 lines, and a conversion kit to r134a? any help would be great thanks!

also I do have an r134a compressor handy. Could I just buy r12 lines and use the conversion kit to run the r134a compressor? not sure how it works my head hurts.

im having simalar problems with mine man, ur gonna either have to buy the r12 lines cuz r134 lines are not gonna fit, r12 lines are smaller because of the lower pressure they run, and r134 has bigger hoses because of the higher pressures that they run on. the only thing u can do is pretty much change ur whole system to 134 or find a r12 compressor and buy the remaining lines u need, then buy the 134 fittings to charge it with 134, remember to dump the old r12 oil before u put the 134 oil. good luck let us kno how that goes, oh yea if u wanna run ur 134 compressor with the r12 lines u might be able to get the lines modified so that the r12 lines fit the 134 comp.
