Default type-s muffler on the civic?

i was thinking about gettin a 2.25 in cat back to an 02 rsx type-s muffler. i can get it done for 150 bucks at this shop and already have the muffler thanks to my roommate. do you think its worth it? if you've done it, any gains?

If you do a full cat-back exhaust you are going to get gains but they will be minimal on a y8. If you are doing it for sound I don't see what the point of using a rsx muffler. I suppose it should have enough flow for a y8 but i doubt it will sound much different from stock. I also can't belie you are getting a cat-back for $150 that sounds WAY too low. That would make me question the work quality of the shop that is doing it for you.

i bought a new 04 type s muffler to replace on my EJ6 mainly because im an OEM *****, and its awesome, little deeper tone, great at cruising, and i did gain a little mid range torque (completely stock Y7), and it looks great too, and 150 is too much i got it installed for 60

The 05-06 ones look sick. And very quiet if you don't like loud exhaust sounds.
