Default Type-R Tube Vs. Comptech

Yea, another intake question, but hey, opinions needed on this.

For a comptech Icebox, on a 99SI, i'm trying to figure out what would be the best setup.
An Integra Type-R tube, run to the icebox, or the comptech tube, with heat-wrap, to the icebox? I wouldnt wrap my current AEM since it's kinda got an anti-heat treatment, but the comptech tube just looks like bare aluminum, and could heat very easily. An upside to the comptech is is bottlenecks, one end is bigger than the other, designed that way for air turbulance i believe........

Thoughts ?

how so ?
exhaust wrap is designed to keep heat in.
you would want something designed to reflect heat.

heat soak is what we're trying to avoid here.

Exhuast wrap is basically insulation. It's designed to prevent heat transfer. It's not "directional". It doesn't care if the heat is on the inside or outside... it simply slows the heat transfer.

Something with a reflective outer surface might do a slightly better job on an intake tube, but mainly you'd want something that insulates well... if you could be sure it wouldn't melt, even bubble wrap would be better than nothing.
