im using the 98 jdm itr tranny with 4.7 final drive and lsd. lsd spins both wheels, better for drag and overall driving. im using it with a 2L GSR all motor

96 spec trans with a 96 spec ITR motor. Good accelaration, but motor screams on the highway (= not so good gas mileage).

Well I have a 01 trans almost brand new hooked to a b16, and so far i love it . Unfortunately i did not put it in and i have a problem with it. It's a long story but my problem is the reverse lights aren't working. All the obvious things have been checked. Anybody have any ideas.

Shorter gears = faster acceleration. That is the advantage. Specially gears 3-5.

Sucks on the highway if you cant tolerate 4k RPMs at 65-70 MPH.

Great acceleration and gearing. best Honda Tranny for drag racing IMO

I do concur. I'm using a 98 ITR Tranny 4.40.

Yea, I will probably upgrade to the ATS 4.9 FD and LSD eventually. I run the RSR GTII Exhaust, so its ******* LOUD on the highway.

Plus I'm always doin 80, so its usually at like 5k.
