Type R Sway Bar: Just installed on my 95 Si
First I would like to say thanks to BSQ . He was a great source of information and I used his reinforcement kit, so far so good.
I picked up a pair of 95 Integra LCAs from the local junk yard, energy suspension bushings from Suspension Restoration Parts, and I got the bar and other associated pieces from http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/.
I initially had some confusion on the bolts that are actually need but BSQ set me straight. As far as bushings go I purchased the entire ES Hyper-Flex kit for the same price that Acura wanted for just the bushings for the LCAs.
The install is pretty straight forward. The hardest part was getting bolts back into place. A jack, some muscle and a rubber mallet helped.
If anyone has any questions I would gladly contribute any info that I can.
P.S.
For those considereding a smaller 13mm or 14mm don't bother. I don't think it would be worth the effort. I was actually concerned about snap-oversteer with the 22mm bar. I'm not as worried now after a few miles and sweeping corners.

Do you notice a real difference? Also, what suspension setup do you have? (shocks and struts)?

I went from no sway on my VX to the itr22mm....it was a world of difference. Car was soo much more stable for any cornering. Even changing lanes at highway speeds was steadier. Its a great upgrade.

I have a Comptech 22mm bar, and I also wouldn't consider going with a smaller bar. I went from no bar to that, and it made a HUGE difference. I was shocked at the cars new handling characteristics. 22mm bars

Yes, there was definately a "real" difference. This is how the car should have come from the factory. She now corners flatter and feels more stable. The car feels more confident at speed through a corner. I was expecting it to be more of a hand full to drive judging by other posts from people that have installed it. I could going for a larger bar for competition but the 22mm is great for the street.
Right now I'm running on H&R Sport springs (1.75"), KYB AGX, and Kumho Ecsta 712 205/50/15. I have a slight rub on the rear driver side tire on hard turns and dips which the sway bar has helped with.
Any EG autocrossers here from SD?

I didn't have to remove any nuts. I just had to drill out a couple of holes in the subframe to accept the bolts.

Is your info in reference to the Civic or Integra. I know the Integra has the nuts. My Civic didn't have the nuts. I think the only Civic model the had a rear sway bar was the 4dr LX. I might have a waist of time for Honda to include nuts on all subframes when the other models didn't need them. Just my guess.

I haven't totalled it up but I would guess about $200 - $220. Integras don't need the LCA and already have most of the hardware so it would be cheaper for them.

i think that all the civics do have the spot welded nuts on the back of the subframe. you cant see them looking from the back of the car, you would have reach around and feel them on the other side of where the sway bar bracket bolts up. the bsq kit does not require the removal of these because you just drill them right out. the beaks kit does require the removal because there is large piece of the mounting bracket that goes behind the subframe. they must be removed so that you can mount this piece. in this repsect, the bsq kit is much simpler and much less time consuming to install. i helped to install a beaks kit on my friends teg and it was a bitch, but very beefy and nice looking. i havent heard anything bad about either kit, only good. its all up to what you want.

Re: Type R Sway Bar: Just installed on my 95 Si (deviant94ex)
I'm sure there weren't any nuts on my subframe. I just drilled out 1 hole on each side. I had to use a total of 4 flange nuts to hold the bolts in place. I was actually confused by the fact that the nuts were not welded to the subframe.
