Type R intake retrofit to SiR
Anyone ever done this? Any tips on mounting method? Got an Integra Type R intake for next to nothing and I would Like to use it. I don't want to use an aftermarket intake because I would like to retain a stock look, and work with what I have. I know I'm going to need a bigger snorkel. Any thing else?

The mounting points are different. If was that easy, I wouldn't have asked. Just hesitant about cutting off brackets and using epoxy, or possibly getting it plasti-welded. But thanks anyway.

I am pretty sure that the type R intake will bolt up to a b16 but a b18c1 will be different. but i could be wrong.

Before you start hacking up the ITR air box, I'd consider selling it and using the money to purchase a Green or other performance drop-in for your stock Civic air box. Partially remove the resonator from behind the bumper so it draws air from below, and you should end up with a decently performing setup that looks 100% stock.

I already have removed my intake muffler and have a k&n drop in. However, there is still a muffler attached to the stock air box which I'm sure is hella restrictive.
