Default Type R intake manifold question

This might have been covered before but l am looking at getting a type r intake mani and throttle body for around $300 and i think he is throwing in a valve cover with it.. my questions are i have a STOCK b16a2 with an intake would i see any gains with the manifold and throttle body and any performance differences? Also how can i tell if the manifold is a legit type r? I know the guy from work and he is pretty cool just dont wanna buy the same part as i already have.. keep in mind that i do have turbo plans (i already have the kit just looking to get injectors a p28 and a tune) so should i just run the mani and throttle body and get a temporary header and finish making my exhaust? Any info will be great thanks!

If you're planning on boosting, compare the length of the runners and do some research into which is better. I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly, shorter runners with boost = faster throttle response.
