Default type r/gsr air box

are these good? im tryna go oem/jdm style, engine bay having slight adjustments and i wanna know how these are.

What would be a good price for one, and how would it fit in an eg coupe?

im looking at a type r, throw in a k&n drop in, maybe later on go with a cone type filter if i really wanna.

also, are they the same, it looked like it in a picture i got, same size but different tubing

you might want to look into an SIRII airbox

http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/wh...l.php?prodID=8

it looks the same as stock but the tube is much bigger, I use it with a K&N drop in with my B16a

nice, thanks. but how would i set it up with a D? and that box looks huge, will it fit in an eg? cause at first i jus wanna do some cosmetic changes to the car, maybe intake/exhaust manis and all that but nothing too in depth. then in a year or so, once i have the money, i wanna swap b series and build that a little. so i would want it to fit both. how could i?

the box is the same size as the D series the only difference is the the top half of the box and the tube, it even uses the same filter. When you have the tubes next to each other the D tube looks like a tooth pick. I don't know the size of the d series TB but it should be close enough to fit, I even used the d series clamp that goes on the TB

don't think a TB will net you any gains without some other serious engine mods ie turbo cam etc... then you would need a tune, just get a K&N, your not going to see any huge gains with just an intake even if you bought the most expensive one out. You can remove the air baffle/resonator, its a box behind your bumper and connects to the bottom of the air box

naw, im not looking for power from the d16, just to be able to fit the piping. the dseries would be solely for getting from point a to point b

Get a CAI and a couple couplers, or a couple intercooler tubing bends and make a pipe that will fit. I did that on a guy's Civic Si and it looks pretty nice.
