Type R cat on D-Series Exhaust
Just wondering if you can use an Integra Type R cat on the D-Series exhaust.
For example. Those of us who do EX header onto a CX car...and want to have a header put inline at the beginning of the cat back, will a Type R cat mate up?
(obviously you have to cut the exhaust a little to get it in, and weld etc..)

whats so special about a type r cat?
just because its from a type r?

I had to use an EX header and lost the cat because of it.
If I want it back, and had to pick any OEM cat, which
one do YOU think will flow the best.
Oh yeah, its readilly available on the board
here as well. They all run upgraded cats or testpipes.

what motor is in the cx hatch?? im just wondering cause there is a kid that lives around me that paid 7k for a 95 civic cx hatch from carmax and has all kinds of gay **** in it.. he had aem cai, and a catback.. i think taht motor is about to die cause it wasnt made to have **** done to it like taht if you know what i mean..

I think I may run the EX cat now. I know that will bolt right up (after I cut the exhaust and put it inline).

the cx hatch only has 70hp to let you know.. but as long as you take care of it it will run forever like every other honda out there.. good luck w/ the cat install..

hes talkin about EK CX not EG...eg cx has 70 or some ****..ek has 106..same motor as dx..just different **** in the interior/exterior blah blah

Not sure how well it'd work.
I'd imagine that you would need 2.25 piping seeing as that's how large the inlet and outlets are on the ITR cat. Not sure how much good it'd do you at all.
I'm not sure what your plans are for the cx (motorswap or whatever), but I think using an ITR cat would make no sense at this point in the game.
