type r b18c header won't fit
so i bought some headers of my buddy 421 he has the same car as me 1999 coupe with 1997 type r. so i go to put the headers on and they wont line up i can get the 3 bolts but the last 3 bolts on the left side wont go in i don't understand he had the same car and its off by a good inch on that side. i did pay alot for the headers, 80 bucks so im not out alot but still sucks
what would be the best headers for my setup skunk 2 valves, retainers, valves springs and skunk 2 stage tuner series cams with pro series cam gears. i am willing to spend what ever takes to get the best headers for my car

Re: headers wont fit
its just a header how much hp do u exspect to gain from a N/A honda with cams. any header would work. any b18 or b16 header should fit. id sell it back to your friend and get another one. makes no sense why it shouldnt work or fit. all b series headers have the same bolt layout. no sense in spending 300-500 bucks for a header to gain 5 hp.

Re: headers wont fit
You are not answering the question. Is it the same engine or not? Or are you trying to bolt up a B-series header onto a D-series? Post pics because something is not adding up.

Re: headers wont fit
Take it back to your buddy and have him give you your money back.
That is if he is your buddy.
I find it kind of hard to believe since you two have the same cars and same engine, that you cant get it to fit.
FYI people the best headers dont cost 1300.00+

Re: headers wont fit
What 3 bolts are you referring to?
The bolts/studs at the head, or the bolts that attach attach the two pieces of the header together?
If it is not lining up at the head bolts/studs...I have a feeling that your "buddy" wants to be cool and says he has a "Type R" in his civic, when it is only a D-series.
Better yet, do you know if his engine has two camshafts or one...ask him that.
He may also have a D16ZC dual cam, and think that it is a "Type R"

Re: type r b18c header won't fit
All i read is bolt here doesn't fit, bolt there does fit. If it came from the same engine as yours then I don't see a reason why it would not fit. Post pictures of the header and the head where the header bolt on too.
You think the oil pan in somehow blocking it? Maybe the header isn't long enough. That being it's not the right one.
I have a OBX header that i bought when i bought my car about 2 years ago and i think it's great!

OP, it would be helpful if you put more effort into your posts and didn't just rush them through. The more effort you put into your posts, the easier they will be to understand. The easier you are to understand, the easier you are to help.
