Type-R AEM Intake on B18C1 EH2!
I already searched and only thing I could find is a strait NO.
I want to know if an AEM CAI for a Type R will fit on a B18C1 in a 92 hatch?
For those of you who say no, Why? Does the R intake manifold sit higher or lower than the GSR's? Or does it sit closer to the fire wall?
I can get a Type R Intake cheap and want to know what it will take to mod it to fit, if anything.
A little help please!

Re: (jeremyEG)
wont work because of the way the b18c1 intake mani is set up. its basicly upside down compared to all the other b-series. on honda for making it harder to reach the throtle body. but the Skunk2 manifold is based on the b18cR so im think that it would work fine if u went that route, but iono about spending a few bills just to get a specific intake

Hey not sure if this helps at all, but I have an AEM ITR CAI on my 93 Si with SOHC VTEC engine, and it didnt fit for **** until i cut it to install that bypass valve, it allowed me to rotate the bottom piece enough so that it would fit, a bit tight but it fit.

hey mines fit perfect with out any cutting in on 92 si sohc vtec.also fit perfect in my bros 94 vx with an ls swap.
and i dont think it will fit with the stock gsr intake manifold. cuz of how the manifold sits really low.

Re: (ce)
like others have said. you'll need to put a skunk2 manifold to use itr intake.
it will fit into a hatch but it'll sit real low, and rub and scrape.
we put it in my friends 5th gen coupe.

ITR aem cai is larger diameter. nice piece.
the gsr intake mani sets the throttlebody in an awkwardly lower position so you are required to use a GSR aem cai unless you are cutting your intake and using a rubber coupling and 2 clamps to help achieve the correct path with an ITR aem cai.
I had to cut my GSR aem cai and remove a bend section once I had installed my skunk2 IM on my GSR motor.

no CAI work with the B18C1 Swap in an EH2.. You have to cut the piping and kinda ghetto rig it up yourself..
