Default Type One Titatnium Axle-Back Question

(1: Did search).
I saw that Mike from IPS has a groupbuy on the Spoon N1 axle-back so I was poking around the IPS site and ran into the Type One Titanium Axle-Back as well. Has anyone installed, purchased, seen this? Does it sound similar to the N1 Spoon? Any opinions/advice?

CiRcuit Si has it on his 00 Si, sounds awesome IMO, very deep no buzzy noise. I havent heard the Spoon N1 so i could not tell u how it compares to it.

I heard a sound slip of the Type One a while back, silky smooth, not raspy at all.

thanks! i know that type one is an axle-back.. what are people using for b-pipe? T1R? I need to get a clip of this...I've heard the N1, but my EG is a daily driver.. I don't know if I want to hear the droning exhaust noise all day and night... Deeper then N1, sounds good with me Mosquito on speed?
thanks.

So. I'm probably going to go with either the Type One Titanium or Spoon N1 axle back with OEM B-pipe (for now). Both are supposidly direct bolt-ons, however, from what I've been able to pull up, I'm running into a bit of trouble. The Type One is listed at 63mm, but the spoon N1 is 60.55 for pipe diameter. Am I missing something here? Can they both fit the OEM B-pipe if the sizes are different?
Thanks in advance.. My exhaust is falling apart so I need to rectify the situation as soon as possible.

Yup... they both fit the OEM B-pipe and come with the flange for a direct bolt-on. Get the T1R, you'll love it!!!

do you have any pictures of the Type One Ti? I'm yet to see anyone with it on their car. no audio clips either....I can't imagine it to be louder than the N1, but I need to know. Even with silencer, the N1 is louder than I'd like.

get the Type One axle-back. it's the best exhaust, in my opinion. i have one, and i love it. i got it for about $200. it sounds deep, and it is not annoying. go for it.

i don't think you can get the stainless version for 200 bucks. you should call AJ racing. i don't think they make the titanium one anymore. at least that's what i've heard.

Is there 2 diff. types of Axle backs. I've seen a pic of a big muffler sized one on a Type R (a yellow one on h-t) and my buddy has an Si but his muffler is kinda small. looks very nice though
heres a pic of it. I hope he doesnt mind me posting it, i didnt ask him

At the ITR Expo I heard both the Spoon N1 and T1R.. They sound awesome. Very deep and smooth and evil at higher rpms.. A great combo IMO: T1R b-pipe and Spoon N1 axleback.. T1R catback sounds great too!!

thanks for all your help guys.... i'm really trying to get something solidified so i don't have to wait until my current muffler just drops I figure any change I make to my car will be with quality stuff, not just garbage.
T1R vs Spoon. Which one is louder, which one is deeper.

00MRSi-- which one to you sounded better to you, and why?

thanks !

the only downside imo to the t1r b-pipe it that is has bottlenecks at the flanges. if you get the full t1r cat-back exhaust you won't get any bottlenecks.

cool. thanks. just downloaded and heard it. just don't know which route to go. b-pipe for now, will definitely be oem. from there, it's either T1R or Spoon N1. I kind of like the look of the blue tip, but that's not the point. T1R is SS w/Ti tip. What's the N1? SS as well?
