type 2 coolant on a 2000 Civic?

Hi guys it is fine to replace the normal green coolant with the Type 2 Blue coolant from honda, Im replacing the coolant on my 2000 Honda Civic D16Y8?

flush it out completely with distilled water.

It sure is. Flush out the system first with distilled water as Tony stated... and you will be good to go.
