two o2 sensors on 98 civic dx........
exhaust manifold, they are cracked were the top o2 sensor is, i wanted to put my neighbors stock 2000 civic ex exhaust manifold but theres only one hole to put the o2 sensor is there anything i could do to make this work? i tried searching but i couldnt find anything..

yes, there is, his manifold doesn,t have a built in catalytic convertor in in like yours does, so your solution, would be to get a catalytic convertor that has a spot for an o2 and take your car to an exhaust shop, and have them shorten your exhaust and put the convertor in. the o2 neds to be put on the back side of the cat. because one is primary and the other is secondary, meaning the first one reads a/f ratio out of the motor and the other makes sure the cat. is doing it's job,

Once you go to the EX manifold then you eliminate the cat that the DX manifold comes equipped with, so if you're going to use an EX manifold then you need an EX cat converter as well and that is where the second o2 sensor will go in, it would also be better to use the EX exhaust. You're going to have to extend the wires too if they do not reach. I have done it before and it worked perfectly! Good luck!

what if i dont hook up the second o2 sensor? would I be able to ride around until i get a cat, the crack on my stock exhaust manifold seems to be getting worse everyday. thanx.
