Default Two newbie questions for a Civic 97. [Thermostat & Fan]

Hey there!

I own a Civic 1.5i Vtec -97 and recently I noticed that the temperature doesn't go up to it's working temp. As I'm not completely stupid, I figured it should be the thermostat.

Now to the question;
Where is it, and how do I change it?

Thanks in advance, and now to question #2;
Recently my interior fans only run at full speed and nothing else. I read some about it, and some suggest it may be the resistance for the fan motor.

Same question here, where is it?

Thank you very much in advance!

Get yourself a service manual. Download one off the net. Where is it? Don't ask.

Yes, I know Haynes got service manuals for it. But I thought this place would be the right, if any, to ask without buying one?

HONDA FSM. Look for it. Download it.

If you need pictures a Google image search does wonders.
For instance.

Now you try it.

Got where the thermostat is now, but do I need to drain the fluid from the radiator before changing it? I read something about it.. Again, total newbie.

Ignore that grumblemarc. I think he is running a little short
on fiber in his diet.

You can download the official Honda Civic service manny somewhere. It will
describe and illustrate all you need to know as regards the above
questions.

Its on page 10-9 in the 96-98 manual. The t-stat housing is
at the junction of the heater outflow hose, the by-pass hose and
the radiator outflow hose accessible on the passenger side.

If you replace the t-stat, also replace the gasket. You might
also want to apply anti-seize cmpd to the bolts when you put
it back together. Inexpensive t-stat and gasket can be purchased
from RockAuto.com. You might want to stick w/ original
temperature (OEM temp); you can find that in the Honda
service manny.

Illegal download link in post. Hence the reason why I was so vague about where to get it.
