turning over wont start 97 ex coupe
Ok guys. Ive been having some trouble with my 97 ex coupe. A few days ago i took the valve cover off to paint it over the weekend. After i got back home i put the valve cover back on and had no problems. The next morning got up to go to work started the car and got down the road and it died on me. Now it wont start at all. I checked the voltage to my distributor and im getting 12 volts but when i take the spark plugs out and touch them to metal they arent sparking. Any suggestions on what i should do?? What are my next steps...btw it is a d16y8 motor. Thanks in advance

12 volts going in? It's possible the ignition coil inside the dist. died, definitely a common issue, been on the side of the road a couple of times in Hondas because of that. I've heard you can get them bench tested/replaced, or just buy a new distributor. But if you know a guy at a local parts store that's cool, they might let you try swapping it in real quick to see if that's the problem.
