Default Turning lights question on 99 civic

Hey H-T, I just cut the black wire on the corners my sis's 99 civic ex to make them blink faster, and it works but when i switch the headlights on it blinks at a very slow rate, why is this happening, I've done it many times on civics and this is the first time this happened.....

I have one of those flashers that you can just replace with the stock flashers-It's sitting in my garage that I got for free when I bought my clear headlights. I'll sell it to you so you can make your sister happy for 10bux shipped.

Nobody can help you out because you are cutting on wires that Honda put there for a reason. The only reason I've seen corners blink fast is because the bulb is about to burn out.

Yeah, I wanna say it has something to do with resistance on the bulb.

thanks, eeJayeiGht told me to remove the resistor and replace it with a 20k one, and yes honda does put those wires for a reason, but they also put those motors, and all those things you mess with for a reason, but everyone still fiddles with them, SORRY FOR ASKING QUESTIONS AT HONDA-TECH...

Well everyone else fiddles with the motors to make thier car perform better, not to make it look cool. Nobody here was flaming you, I was simply telling you why noone could help you. Next time this question may be better recieved over in the appearance forum.
