Default turn signal wiring question

Ok, so there is power ground and then a green wire? i'm guessing the green is for turning power on and off (flashing). Ok, so PO installed some SWEET... projector headlights and decided to hack off the turn signals for powering the halos. SO, i have an idea for turn signals going to use http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Amber...#ht_5244wt_787 and i have a couple idea for attaching then, when i get to it, i might as well show what i jerry rig up. Anyways, is there a separate lead for the green wire originally or does it just splice into the + or - leads?? If anyone is confused about what i'm saying, i can post up some pictures.

----finish----
well, just in case anyone wonders, green is high (flasher) red is low (power) and black is ground.
