Default turboing my '98 civic GSR (searched)

i have most of the parts required (i.e; t3/t4 turbo, manifold, down/test pipe, wastegate, BOV, intercooler, 1000cc injectors with resistor box all hooked up, oil in/return lines, walbro 255 fp, FPR, boost/vac/&oil pres. tri stack cluster, and plenty of vacuum lines as well as a chipped and tuned obd1 ECU, tuned perfectly for this setup.

problem is, my civic is obd2. what problems would i run into if i just used this obd1 ecu in my obd2 civic? i know i'll need a conversion harness to hook it up, but what other things will i need to end up replacing off of my totalled obd1 integra to make this thing run smoothly without throwing CEL's left and right? i've heard that dizzy will need to be replaced, as well as a few sensors...

any help and specifics would greatly be appriciated.

I'm pretty sure the injectors and the distributor will have to be re-wired (or you can use an OBD-I dizzy).

well i have the resistor box re-wired with the injectors so that won't be too much of a problem to re-wire... just slice off the other injectors at the harness and reinstall/rewire the new ones. but is there a major difference between the wiring of an obd1 and obd2 dizzy?

Wait. You have an ECU setup that is "tuned perfectly" for your setup, yet its not even on the car? How is it going to be tuned perfectly if its never been run on that engine?

With a conversion harness, you shouldn't have to rewire anything. That's the purpose of the harness, to use an OBD1 ecu on an OBD2 system.

it was tuned with my integra GSR obd1 setup. then i totalled it.

I now have a civic GSR obd2 in which im salvaging most of the turbo parts from the integra.

just get a conversion harness.. and plug in your obd-1 ecu.. that simple..

its a little harder for people with obd-2 dseries civic that swap in a bseries and convert to obd-1..

but for you its easy

true! all motor are different just because you ran this set up in another car doesnt mean its tuned perfectly to a simular setup
