Default Turbo or Swap?

I got a 92 delsol sir with a B16 and I am looking for some more power. Im considering either turboing it or swaping in a ITR motor. Both will cost "roughly" the same.

Things I have to consider
Reilablity
MPG
Power
resale

Im sorry for the Cletia(sorry I can't spell) thread but im in a perdicament and some opinions are needed.

Well swapping to a itr motor wouldnt be worth it IMO cause you will be buying a whole new motor for roughly 50 more hp... Or you could spend the same amount of money and have a safe 300whp daily driver.

If you go turbo.....

Reilability: If you do it right and use quality parts and do regular maintenance i dont see why you would have a problem with reliability. Just check fluids regularly and watch for leaks.

MPG: If you stay out of boost with a good tune you will yield about the same mpg.. but when you go boosting you can watch the gas hand go down.

Power: Stock block b series are good for roughly 400whp... wether you wanna push it that far on your first turbo build or not is up to you.

Resale: Either way your gonna be screwed here so go ahead and do what you want with it while you have it

do a good quaility turbo setup. even on a stock motor, it will better than an itr swap.

i'd probably go for the turbo. as much as i love the sound and feel of a type-r i think you could do a solid turbo setup for significantly less dollar wise.

as far as reliability, i've got one buddy that just pulled the turbo kit off of his motor after 40,000 miles. he built it well and took care of it, only pulled it off to put a bigger kit on.

as far as resale... cars are not an investment. if you want to put money into it that's up to you, but don't expect to get more than 1/2 of it back, and that's if you're lucky.

Turbo or swap?

Both

A swapped Civic is not fast, a boosted SOHC Civic isn't fast, but a boosted-and-swapped Civic can be very, very fast
