Default which turbo should I get????

I have a '97 Civic with B18C (typeR)...I bought a custom turbo kit with ramhorn manifold. I am not sure which kind of turbo I should go with for a quick "street car/daily driver." So far...I favor the "disco potato GT28RS." Please advise....

hoping to spend less than $1500...but if there's something better out there I would fork out more.

You're gonna fork over 1500 on a daily driven turbo?

As in, just the turbo?

I hope he was going to spend that on the turbo because there is no way to get a really good setup for that amount. can it be done? oh yes but will it last? probably not.

The gt28RS will run you about 1200 for a brand new on with all the options you would want. Im sure you can get a used snail for less but if you want reliability then dont buy used.

GT28RS .. lol no way

I am assuming your manifold is flanged t3? That means you'd have to have it adapt for it if you decided to, keep that in mind.

You should be running minimum a GT3076R - 56 trim .82 ar - or if you want to save some quid go with either a t3/t4 60 trim or a t61. Anywhere from 600 - 800$.

wrong, atpturbo will customize the turbo to your liking. they will but a t3 exhaust side on it if you ask them too.

Should have just done an N/A setup all motor... Most people don't recommend boosting a type-r.....

But if your gonna boost go with this turbo here and it only costs around $2,500.00

GT42R

My friend has a precision sc-61 on his ls-vtec with a built block and ran 11.2. It was nasty stock on 7 lbs. They run around 700 or so brand new.
