just do a motor swap first ...this way you will be able to turbo that motor and be much faster!!!

why even post that.. the topic wasn't what motor can i swap and then turbo for my civic.. i dunno i am doin a t3 turbonetics.. not to big.. but should spool nicely.. try something like that and use the search button.. i can probably pull up 100 threads in 5 minutes on this exact question..

at the moment my eg is auto d15b7 and im swapping in the d16z6 manual with p28 ecu. i was wondering what i can do, turbo running safe psi until i build the engine or do a motor build, a1 pistons, stage1 cam, titanium retainers, new set of valves, skunk2 or edelbrock intake manifold, chip ecu, headers etc.

i had a 95 civic ex coupe with 125k miles and i bought an edelbrock turbo kit for it and ran the crap out of it for 30k miles and it held up great. im pretty sure its a gt28 turbo and it came with an intake manifold which was actually the hardest thing to put on. the car was completely stock except a test pipe, custom 3" exhaust, and an ACT clutch. i think you can still pick em up for about 3-4grand. juss my 2sense.

I'd say a dsm turbo or any other t28 would work out perfectly.

the kit? the 15g one? You know, the kit designed for a stock engine to run safely on?

What you got against greddy? Never heard something wrong about them.

You make it sound like I'm talking about ssautochrome.

Piece together your own for ~1000 on a street tune.

Tune conservatively (say 12.3 or so) and you'll be fine.

Try not to go much over 200whp on stock internals on a street tune.

PS:
Search, this has been covered many times.

Uhh, I never said anything negative about greddy. You said:

8 lbs on a t25 is wayyy different then a gt42r, for instance.

How so? I did full b16a2 swap in my 89 crx and the total came to 2200 bucks! This was a usdm motor and I only got like 160 hp out of it. I am currently building a turbo y8 that I will be swapping into my ek. My materials total for the turbo build is $1200. The only thing I am not factoring in is the tune. (I am doing the work myself) However my forged pistons and rods with my t3/t4 57 trim turbo, has been proven time and time again to push 350-400+hp. Take it from me, I have done both a b series swap and a turbo d, and for my money, its the d all the way.

******* good to hear.. argued so many times and times again.. but in the end a turbo d is better then a b16 in my eyes for the money.. if u only want some power and not to go real high then turbo d all the way.. now if u want to go bigger in power then b16.. but u see so many people just puttin gin the b16 and thats it.. well may aswell gone iwth the turbo d for the money..

im currently contemplating a turbo b16 when i get back from cuba. if i piece it together and pull some favors that people owe me i could probably get everything for well under 5gs. <5gs for a good 230+ hp with alot more potential shouldnt be such a bad thing.
