Default turbo manifold question

again....i tried to post this in the turbo forum, but it didnt let me. I don't know if this will make any sence but my question is.....is there a big difference between the cast iron turbo manifold that just comes off the block and go down and the other manifolds that bend up and then go down to the turbo?(performance wise)
thanks

Theres alot of info about this and the list of reasons go on and on and on. Theres been dyno sheets and videos that show the difference.

Longer runners give you better top end and allows the turbo to produce more power. If you get a good collector setup with the manifold you could see some great power. In the end though it all depends on your goals that you want. Log manifolds can give you some good power but not like an equal lenght.

log types are also usally cheaper and generally let you retain air conditioning, and they flex better, imo better for daily driving, thats why i bought a greedy cast iron
