Squire runs turbo setups back there in Camaros/firebirds.

yeah, ive seen it in a magazine before, i beilve import tuner. it was a remote turbo set up, where they actually mount the turbo in the rear of the vehicle... not sure the benifit, as we all know there is plenty of room in most honda enigne bays. At my tech school (UTI), we had a 05 GTO that had a remote turbo set up... so yeah, theyre out there

yea it's been done I've seen it in a magazine, it's retarded, you need an electric oil pump for it to even work, it must take forever to spool and fill all that piping with air. The turbo and parts are even exposted to the elements

Don't be so quick to judge. It's actually a very useful idea for someone that has no room in their engine bay for a turbo, or the guy that wants to be super sleeper status. And if it didn't work, it wouldn't be on the market. Keep in mind this isn't for the guy that wants to run 15 psi, it's for the guy that wants to get an little extra kick in the pants when he steps on the go pedal.

OP, yes it is actually an item. I would find a link to it, but my dinner just walked in the door and well, food>you.

I'd be lying if I didnt say it looked kinda cool though. Definetly sleeper status too. Do you think you'd be MORE likely to suck water in that thing, than a regular N/A CAI in the front of the car?

yup. most of the kits ive seen were for the last gen Camaro, because of limited space in the engine bay. ive seen them on this car too, twin turbos

it works well for cars that have no room under the hood. as far as a honda goes, youll be fine with an underhood turbo.

yeah ive spoken to sts, makes for an easier install since you just tap into the exhaust pipe, the pressure drop means no intercooler or blow off valve, they said standard install time is about 3 hours on most vehicles, and they even have registered install shops that do it for them around the country. I seen a video of a formula firebird that had it and it was pretty nice, looked just like it had a CAI under the hood
