TURBO ???

Default TURBO ???

if i get turbo for my car , do i have to first fix up (pistons , etc ) the stock motor (d16z6) and then put it in ? or is it the same if i just put it in ? just a question .

no... just do a compression test... come back with the #'s and we'll go from there.. until than lets just keep this thread on the DL cuz I bet tons of fire will arise from this one..

depending on the mileage, u may want to do a rebuilt just to freshen it up.

but if its in good shape, u would be ok for the most part.

It depends. What are your aspirations for the turbo motor?

Since you said you're still trying to learn, I'd personally just turbo the motor as it is - without rebuilding anything. This way you can learn how YOUR SPECIFIC setup will handle the boost, and then from there you'll be able to better determine what YOU want as a goal, in terms of performance and durability.

Why spend money on something that you don't understand? IMO, learn what you want first, then you'll end up spending your money more effectively.

it also depends what you're gonna use the car for, autox, drag, daily driver etc.
set some power goals too that might steer you in the direction for your build

you may want to look at the internals and make your basis from there..ask the professionals and let them assess it..
