Default Tunning issue

Ok so I have a 97 ek with a b20b block and a ITR head my alternator went bad and now I feel like my running is messed up my vtec won't kick in at all and my running was set to red line at 8500 now my car struggles to reach 7500 I have no idea what went wrong everything was fine until the alternator went out does anyone have any ideas?

that not the alternator that's causing all that.

"Tunning"? "Messed up"? "Running set to redline"? These are all horrible (or flat out wrong) ways to say what you're trying to say.

Is the CEL on? If VTEC actually isn't working, it is on, and you need to pull and post the codes.
