I tuned my Eg coupe today!!! it has a B16a gsr tranny with 98 spec ITR cams,Type R intake mani, carbon fiber intake,450 injectors,holley throttle body,jasma header,2.5 exhaust,k series muffler, tuned on hondata s200 made 164whp and 107wtq at 8050rpms. Tuner said I would have made more power but didnt want to rev higher due to stock valve springs. Tell me what u guys think?

lol i know next it dual valve springs and retainers the tuner said the car still wanted to make power but to be safe he wouldnt pass the stock rev limit he said with valve spring and retainers i'll make 8-10whp and i need 4to1 headers so im saving oh and im getting a b16 tranny with lsd!!

thanx man now ima due valve springs, retainers,1 pass on the head at the machine shop over bore with ctr pistons and but a b16 tranny. my goal is 200whp! but we'll see

depends on how much u wanna spend trust me it get expensive lol i would go with a gsr I love my b16 but I got no torque gsr does lol

i thought that same thing about the sound. needs a couple resonators to get rid of that annoying sounds its creating. decent numbers though.

what u mean? ima getting 4to1 headers soon but its just a 2.5 exhaust with k series muffler it dont sound that bad the garage actually amplifies it more

yeah, but i think that might be a little distorted by the garage and video... it does sound a little canish

yea i know well my old eg had a flowmaster exhaust and it sounded nice but when i took the cat off it gave me somewhat of the sound I have now nowhere near as bad though so i think its just cause I dont have a cat with a stock muffler. what r u running for exhaust?

my cars is boosted so i have a 3" downpipe w/ a 3" to 2.5" testpipe and apexi world sport 2 catback system. it is quiet, deep and at WOT with the wastegate open it sounds like a beast.

NICe! i was gonna boost but i kinda leaning to all motor I know its know where near the power but ima just add ctr pistons and i think i'll be happy

nice build man.
all motor is always a fun way to start.
you can always boost later.
the gsr torque does make a good difference, IMO.
and for the exhaust, i ran 2.5 on my stock gsr.
straight exhaust to a hollowish fart can.
they don't sound the best on the bottom, esp that zing at like 2,500-3k.
but the open exhaust sound amazing when they're on top at 8-9k.
plus when you start addin cats and resonators you'll feel the power loss.
